Self Care Sunday!
Drinking water is at the very base of self care.
Every morning I make a 64oz concoction of water that I drink throughout the day. Doing this has helped me stay motivated throughout the day, think clearer, kick my caffeine addiction, get to a healthy weight, give my skin a new glow and overall just make me feel really good!
Plain water can be boring so I mix it up with different natural and organic additives. This combination has become a quick favorite of mine.

Happy Earth Day!🌎🌍🌏
The theme for Earth Day this year is “invest in our planet.”
To me, this year is incredibly important for businesses
large and small.
When I started Process Apothecary in 2019 I had two main goals
1. Create products with real, clean ingredients.
2. Be environmentally conscious in every aspect of my business. From working with like minded suppliers to packaging and shipping.
Everything I ship is packaged with our Planet in mind.
If you find shredded cardboard cushioning your items, that cardboard is from the boxes my supplies were sent in such as wax, jars or accessories (it could also be from one of my orders 😄) Please recycle with your other cardboard items, reuse or compost! ♻️
If you find peanuts protecting your order, reuse or run them under water to dissolve. 💦
See that brown tape? It’s curbside recyclable and biodegradable! ♻️
I also reuse boxes, packing paper, and anything else I can. To me it’s all packaging gold! 💛
I try my best to work with companies that use very little or no plastic for packing, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. So if you find bubble wrap in your order, just know it’s not it’s first rodeo and I encourage you to reuse it as well.
*Pro tip - Many Postal Annex and UPS stores will take packing material to reuse!

Happy Earth Week!
Do you up-cycle?
Up-cycling is a great way to get creative and help reduce waste in landfills, oceans and parks!
When looking for candle vessels, I wanted something that already helped our planet in some way and encouraged you to continue on the path of sustainability. These jars are made from 100% recycled glass and are a beautiful addition to your glassware collection.
Personally the medium (10oz) is my favorite for parfaits, juices and cocktails and the large (13oz) for lemon water on ice or cocktails after a long day 😄
Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about the small, they have a ton of great uses! —stay tuned for more on that tomorrow! 😍

Oak Island’s story…
Everything about, and everything I’ve created for Process Apothecary has memories, emotions, and meaning attached to it.
“Oak Island” is the culmination of all those wonderful things and one of the very first scents I created.
In April 2020, during the height of the pandemic, my husband and I started our move from Colorado to Virginia. In between viewing and trying to close on multiple homes (I could write a book about that experience😵‍💫), we lived at my in laws house on Oak Island, North Carolina.
Packed in our cars were containers full of coffee scrub, wax, trial packaging, and lots, and lots of fragrance oils.
The two months we spent on Oak Island were filled with some of our most fond memories. We spent the days walking on the beach, planning home renovations, diy-ing, relaxing and of course testing lots, and lots of fragrances oils for Process Apothecary.
It is believed that scent invokes the Proust Effect, bringing about vivid memories and therefor emotions. “Oak Island” definitely does that for me.
I wanted a fragrance that represented the drift wood scattered beaches, calming ocean and tall dune grass I fell in love with. This unique blend of Vetiver & Coconut takes me back to that beach and those memories I treasure every time.
My hope is that “Oak Island” and the other Process Apothecary scents can one day provoke a positive, heartwarming, Proustian moment for you too.
